Your Home Town Team of the White Squirrel Radio Station, WSQL! Carrying the Voice of Transylvania County!
Don DeBiase was born and raised in Englewood, NJ. He grew up listening to the iconic New York City Top 40 radio stations like WABC, WMCA, and WINS. This influenced his decision to major in communications at Graham College in Boston, MA.

Don has served as the president of the Brevard Board of Realtors in 2001 and 2005. In 2013, they returned to Brevard to stay. Listen to Ea and Don on the Morning Show, weekdays 7am to 9am.
John Wood, General Manager:
Being the ” subject ” of TV, radio and film for years, John’s life in front of the camera is much different than managing a radio station. He uses WSQL’s staff’s collective experience in broadcasting to interview business leaders, government officials and prominent citizens. With his boundless energy, John is a Ride Captain for NC Patriot Guard Riders, active in Transylvania Cruisers, and is a USMC veteran. He loves old Camaros, riding his Harley and playing golf with “high handicappers.” A native of Catawba County, NC, he and wife Leslie moved to Brevard in 2012 and live downtown with dogs Ruby and Magic.
Stop by the studio, call or send John an email firstname.lastname@example.org
With over fifty years in broadcasting business, Tom’s stints have spanned DJ/announcing, news reporting, helicopter news & traffic reporter, TV news, sales & marketing, and ultimately upper management of a group of 14 stations. His radio stops over the years have taken him to Philadelphia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Naples, FL and Northeast GA. Tom officially retired in 2006, but upon his recent move to Brevard, his discovery of White Squirrel Radio and the station’s widespread recognition in the community convinced him that there was still one more chapter to be written in his broadcast resume.
